I honestly don’t know how I got fired. So I took a few sick days. I took all of them in fact. And then I actually got sick. And I thought I was going to get a little break. You know, how can they expect someone who’s sick to come in and keep working. I would’ve just made everyone else sick. And you know what they told me. “We didn’t expect you to come in and keep working, that’s why we fired you.” And thus is the story of my being fired.

Now I should tell you the story of my being hired. I met this guy in a coffee shop in Inglewood. And the conversation started off really easy. We just started talking and then he said to me “you’re a smart guy. You should come work for me down in Long Beach” And I just thought “Nice this is my opportunity.” So I took the job. But I told him the commute was too much since I’m really from San Fernando. He told me I should move.

I told him I couldn’t afford it and he told me to look up car title loans in Long Beach, California. He said that in Long Beach the rate is only 6.6% a month because of laws. He told me that with the money I was making at my new job I’d be able to pay it back in only a few months. Auto pawn loans turned out to be great for me. Now I got no credit and there are still things I need to buy. I need to get myself out of this rut. And that means a lot of hard work. I didn’t know I couldn’t do that. I always thought there was some sort of unwritten law that says you are allowed to go within five miles per hour of the speed limit. I thought a cop would know that. I was driving on the highway and I was going 72 mph. The speed limit was was 70 miles per hour. A cop pulled me over and I just thought it was a routine check up. So when she said “Do you know how fast you were going” I just said “yes”

I guess she was trying to tell me I was going over the speed limit because she gave me a ticket after that. I couldn’t believe it. I actually started laughing at her. Which just made things worse, she might have compromised had I apologized. There have been so many fees with this little ticket. It has wasted my valuable time.

Now I’m broke. I might not be broke in a few months, but I’ve got no money right now. I have bad credit and I didn’t know how to get money until a friend told me that I could get instant cash in car title loans in Long Beach, California. It was fast money that anyone with an auto title could get.

My kids are the love of my life. That’s why when anything bad happens to them I can’t handle it. I start to break down at the thought of losing them. We went out to Lasher’s one night and my son, Howard, wasn’t looking so good. He had this look on his face that he wasn’t going to make it through dinner. I couldn’t tell you how I knew it was as bad as it was but I just did. Call it a sixth sense.

So we ran out of Lasher’s immediately and took Howard to Miller Children’s Hospital. It was a very rough ride. Howard was moaning the whole ride and grabbing his stomach. My two daughters were so frieghtened that they didn’t say a word. My husband tried to calm everyone down but he was the one who needed to calm down. At the hospital Howard needed to get his appendix removed.

Everything was going to be ok with Howard but when I talked to the insurance company, they refused to pay the balance of the operation. They told me that they wouldn’t cover it.
