I couldn’t believe this scenario until it happened to me.  Your company cuts your job to outsource to China.  But you have to train your replacements.  Then when you look for a new job, you discover all the other companies did the same thing.  You’re competing for the few jobs remaining against a flood of unemployed specialists like yourself.

Do I have to move to India or China to get a job these days?  (I have two dogs and a cat, and they don’t like that idea at all.)

My severance ran out soon enough, and unemployment only puts a dent into my bills. I took temp work, just to make do. Retraining was the only means I could see for getting a good job again.  But the bills got ahead of me, so now with bad credit, where would the money for retraining courses come from? 

There are legal ways in this world to find fast cash.  As it turns out, the smartest way to get that under my circumstances was a car title loan.  Who knew?  I filled out an online application with Car Title Loans in Long Beach.  I was relieved I didn’t have to go to some scary storefront operation. My tuition money was electronically transmitted to my checking account in 24 hours.  

 A guy’s gotta eat, and I’d rather have steak than beans.  A loan with car title will ultimately enable me to do that again when I get back into a good job.
